Dragon Prince (a.k.a White Dragon Horse)
The Dragon Prince (Bai Long Ma), also known as White Dragon Horse, is one of the main characters in the 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West. He becomes The Monk's steed.
His name is Ao Lie, who is the third son of the Dragon King of the West Sea (Ao Run), making him a Dragon Prince. His uncle is the Dragon King -of the East Sea- (Ao Guang).
He once set a fire that destroyed a valuable pearl, but was saved by Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin) and ordered to help The Monk on his journey. At their first encounter, he didn't recognize The Monk and attacked him. But later this mix up was cleared and he served as The Monk's steed for the rest of the journey.
